The politics of Northern Ireland have always been something of an enigma to many people - the UDC, IRA, UVF, SDLP - so many initials. Well, feel puzzled no more. Now there's a site that provides lots of resources and makes sense of the political players of the North. Stratagem-ni.com has everything you need to get around the politics of Northern Ireland, and maneuvers you through the maze that has boggled so many of us for so long. Stratagem-ni.com is the first site of its kind to cover all facets of Northern Ireland politics from government links to assembly members, political profiles - they have it all here for you to view or download. A cool feature is the "Assembly Terminology" section where they explain all of the terms used in the Assembly from the passing of a bill to the committee structure and what it all means. If you are wondering who the representative is from a specific region, there is an interactive map at your fingertips. Just click and read all about them. A nice addition to this feature would be having the websites, if they are available, of the Assembly members linked off this page, so as to make researching that much easier. The best part of the site by far is the "Caption Competition," where people are able to submit a political photo and add a caption with "some" degree of political parody to it. The winner gets a bottle of "fizz," (champagne or an obscure Irish drink?), but I guess I will have to play and win to find out.
