Edwards Online Surge?

With conventional polls all over the map in Iowa, it is difficult to determine who has the momentum in the Democratic Presidential Primary.

Some argue that online metrics show a surge for the candidate that the MSM has long ignored until recently, John Edwards.  Marc Ambinder of the Atlantic reports that the Edwards campaign is seeing a surge of online support after the final Iowa debate sponsored by the Des Moines Register.  The two immediate days after the debate the campaign reported a large up tick in online contributions.  Over the past weekend the campaign added four new servers to handle increased web traffic, which resulted in nearly more e-mail signups than any previous day throughout the campaign.  The campaign is also seeing an increased number of views on the John Edwards YouTube Channel.

Will this surge in online support lead to results in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina?
